Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism Signs Strategic Partnership with IHG Hotels & Resorts to Elevate Visitor Experience

The Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) has signed an MoU with IHG Hotels & Resorts to enhance Dubai’s offerings and visitor experiences. This partnership includes joint marketing efforts, hospitality training programs, and the development of unique tourism products, such as cultural heritage tours and seasonal packages.

Signed by Issam Kazim, CEO of Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DCTCM), and Haitham Mattar, Managing Director for IHG in the region, the MoU aligns with the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33) to bolster Dubai as a global hub for business and leisure. IHG will promote Dubai through its marketing channels and integrate Dubai experiences into its IHG One Rewards program, which boasts over 130 million members.

The agreement also facilitates access to DET’s Dubai College of Tourism training for IHG employees, focusing on industry best practices and certifications to foster innovation and excellence in hospitality.
