Diriyah Season 2024-2025: Celebrating Saudi Arabia’s Cultural and Historical Legacy

The Diriyah Company announces Diriyah Season 2024-2025, an annual event that celebrates the rich cultural heritage and history of Saudi Arabia. Running until March 2025, the 2024-2025 edition offers a range of experiences, from historical exhibitions and interactive workshops to fine dining and outdoor activities, all set in the city of Ad-Diriyah.

The theme for this year, “Entertain Your Cultural Curiosity,” provides attendees with an opportunity to explore Diriyah’s 600-year history through thoughtfully curated programs. The season aims to connect tradition with contemporary insights while showcasing the historical significance of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Programme Highlights

1. Historical Quest
   A treasure hunt for adults and children. Participants solve puzzles and uncover treasures, offering a hands-on experience of Diriyah’s history.

2. Majlis At-Turaif
   A cultural programme introducing Diriyah’s history and the concept of Al Majlis, along with insights into Saudi hospitality.
   • Dates: February 6–28
3. As-Samri
   A traditional music performance showcasing Diriyah’s unique musical heritage, involving community participation.
   • Dates: February 6–28
4. Diriyah Remembrance
   A theatrical show narrating the history of Diriyah through stories of its leaders and defenders.
   • Dates: Until March 28
   • Timings: 5:30 PM–10:30 PM
5. At-Turaif Workshops
   Hands-on workshops on topics like ancient building techniques and traditional Najdi decoration, inspired by Diriyah’s heritage.
   • Dates: Until March 29

6. Traditional Games
   Experience traditional Saudi games along with live demonstrations, designed to revive childhood memories.
   • Dates: Until March 31
7. Arabian Horse Show
   A showcase of purebred Arabian horses, focusing on their beauty, agility, and significance.
   • Dates: Sundays and Mondays until March 31
   • Timings: 4 PM–11 PM
8. Ardah
   A traditional folkloric dance featuring poetry and warrior attire, offering a glimpse into Diriyah’s cultural heritage.
   • Dates: Fridays and Saturdays until March 31
9. Living History
   A guided walk through At-Turaif with storytellers sharing insights about the first Saudi state and its key figures.
   • Dates: Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays until March 31
