American singer-songwriter Richard Marx will perform in the Middle East for the first time with a concert scheduled for October 3 at Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai. The show is presented by All Things Live Middle East.
Richard Marx is known for songs including “Right Here Waiting”, “Hazard” and “Now and Forever”. He is the only male artist whose first seven singles reached the Billboard Top 5. Over his career, he has achieved 14 No.1 singles, sold more than 45 million albums worldwide and recorded over one billion streams.
In addition to his solo work, Marx has an extensive catalogue as a songwriter and producer. His credits include the GRAMMY-winning “Dance with My Father” with Luther Vandross, along with collaborations with Keith Urban, NSYNC, Barbra Streisand and Kenny Rogers. He is also one of two artists, alongside Michael Jackson, to have written a No.1 song in four different decades.
Commenting on the upcoming performance, Richard Marx said: “I couldn’t be more excited and looking forward to playing in Dubai for the very first time. The band and I will make sure it’s a night to remember.”
