Atlantis Dubai has announced the promotion of Kym Barter to Managing Director across both flagship properties, Atlantis The Palm and and Atlantis The Royal. In this expanded role, Barter will oversee the strategic and operational direction of the integrated resort portfolio, including Aquaventure World.
Barter joined Atlantis Dubai in May 2021, initially leading the resort’s food and beverage division. He oversaw concept development, product strategy and operational execution across a diverse culinary portfolio. In July 2023, he was promoted to General Manager and Senior Vice President of Atlantis, The Palm, assuming responsibility for the resort’s overall operational and commercial performance.
During his tenure, the property recorded its strongest results to date and received international industry recognition, including ratings from Forbes Travel Guide and Michelin Guide distinctions across several of its restaurants.
With more than 30 years of experience in luxury hospitality across North America, the Middle East and Asia Pacific, Barter brings extensive operational and leadership expertise to the role. His appointment reflects Atlantis Dubai’s continued focus on structured growth, operational standards and internal leadership development as the brand advances its long-term strategy.
