Bahrain will host the 2025 Bahrain Para Badminton International Championship from May 13 to 18, 2025, at Hall D, Isa Sports City in Riffa.
Organised by the Bahrain Paralympic Committee in cooperation with the Bahrain Badminton and Squash Federation, the event will feature 90 para badminton athletes from 16 countries, including Bahrain.
Para badminton is an adapted version of badminton that enables athletes with physical impairments to compete. The rules are largely similar to standard badminton, with certain modifications to allow the use of assistive equipment like wheelchairs or prosthetics.
The tournament is open to the public, with free entry for all spectators. Matches will take place daily from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. The event aims to support para athletes and encourage broader community awareness and inclusion.
