The Bahrain Philharmonic Orchestra, under the direction of Maestro Dr. Mubarak Najem, will present Symphonies of Animation on Friday, June 27 at the Bahrain National Theatre.
This live music performance will feature a selection of orchestral pieces inspired by well-known animated films and television shows, offering a chance for audiences to revisit familiar melodies from their childhood. The event is designed to be suitable for all ages, inviting both families and individuals to enjoy an evening of music and nostalgia.
Following the success of last year’s performance—which included music from productions such as Tarzan, Tom and Jerry, and Grendizer—this year’s programme is expected to draw a strong response. While the full list of songs is yet to be announced, audiences can look forward to live renditions of memorable animation scores, performed by more than one hundred local musicians and choir members.
The Bahrain Philharmonic Orchestra was founded in March 2022 by Dr. Najem and is supported by the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities. It is part of a broader initiative to strengthen and promote the arts within the Kingdom. Dr. Najem also heads the Bahrain Music Institute, which provides formal music education and training in Bahrain.
