Wasl Hospitality and MGM Resorts International have confirmed the upcoming opening of a new beachfront resort in Dubai featuring the Bellagio Hotel, MGM Hotel, and MGM Residences. The project is currently under construction on a 26-acre coastal site and is expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2027.
This development marks the first time that both the Bellagio and MGM brands will have a presence in Dubai. The project was originally announced in 2017 and is now progressing steadily, with construction already visible on-site.
Best known for its Las Vegas roots, the Bellagio brand will introduce a hotel in Dubai that reflects its familiar approach to contemporary hospitality, adapted for the region. Details about specific features, such as the famous fountain show, have not been confirmed.
Located alongside the Bellagio, the MGM Hotel will offer its own version of modern resort services. This will be the brand’s first hotel in the city and adds another option to Dubai’s growing hospitality sector.
The development also includes MGM-branded residences, designed for long-term living. Positioned along the beachfront, these homes will offer private spaces with access to resort-style amenities.
Work on the MGM Tower is already underway, and the entire resort is scheduled to open in late 2027. While the overall focus is on hospitality and residential offerings, the possibility of gaming being introduced as part of the project remains undecided.
This development is part of a long-term partnership between Wasl Hospitality and MGM Resorts International and aims to add a new resort destination to Dubai’s coastline.
