Christian Kiefer, CEO and Founder of Spa Wellness Project Management, has been appointed as the UAE Regional Ambassador for World Wellness Weekend (WWW), the global not-for-profit initiative that brings together more than 15,000 venues across 190 countries to promote accessible wellness. The 10th edition of World Wellness Weekend will take place from September 18 to 20, 2026.
In his new role, Kiefer will work to encourage hotels, resorts, spas, fitness clubs and wellness studios across the UAE to participate in the initiative by offering free wellness activities to the public during the three-day event.
Commenting on his appointment, Christian Kiefer said, “Wellness is no longer a luxury add-on — it’s become a fundamental expectation for how people want to live, travel and take care of themselves, and the UAE is right at the heart of that shift globally. As Ambassador for World Wellness Weekend in the UAE, my mission is simple: make it as easy as possible for hotels, spas, fitness studios and clubs across the region to open their doors, even in a small way, and be part of a global movement taking place across 190 countries.”
Held on the third weekend of every September, World Wellness Weekend invites participating venues to host free group classes and workshops focused on movement, mindfulness, nutrition, sleep, beauty and stress management.
Venues can participate as an Official Participant by hosting one free activity, a Wellness Champion by organising three different collective classes or workshops, or a Wellness Hero by offering five activities, including sessions for team members and underserved communities. Registration is free for all participating venues.
Kiefer’s wellness brands, Rayya Wellness and Wellbeings Holistic Healing, will also participate in this year’s edition by hosting free wellness activities and spa treatments across their UAE locations.
Hotels, resorts, fitness clubs, yoga and Pilates studios, dance schools, martial arts dojos, spas, salons, hot springs and thalassotherapy centres across the UAE can register to participate ahead of the September 18–20 event.
