The inauguration of teamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi, a new immersive art space on Saadiyat Island, was marked by a large-scale live event that brought together digital media, music, and lighting design. The event was produced by HQ Worldwide Shows, with Creative Technology handling the technical production. It was delivered in collaboration with Miral Destinations and the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi).
The centrepiece of the event was a 120-metre by 30-metre reactive screen developed by Bild Studios. The screen featured a resolution of 13,000 × 2,400 pixels and was programmed to move in sync with a live performance by composer Ludovico Einaudi.
Over 600 lighting fixtures were installed across the site, forming part of a lighting design led by Durham Marenghi. The event also featured the regional debut of the GLP MadMAXX lighting fixture, which was integrated into the overall design.
Creative Technology managed the coordination and delivery of AV systems, working with Provision AVL for additional technical support.
