A new music institute focused on practical learning and creative collaboration is set to open in October at Dubai Knowledge Park. The Digital Renaissance Music Institute offers a space where aspiring producers, vocalists, DJs, and musicians can train with working professionals and develop their craft in a studio-based environment.
The institute is designed to function more as a professional workspace than a traditional classroom. Students will learn by working directly with equipment used in the music industry, guided by mentors and active artists from the region and beyond.
Reflecting the diversity of Dubai, the institute brings together musical influences from Arab, Desi, African, Pinoy, and Western cultures. The aim is to create an environment where music is treated as both a technical skill and a form of cultural expression.
Co-founder Dmitry Panov said: “We’re not building a conservatory — we’re igniting a movement that champions creative risk, communal growth, and the freedom to show up authentically.”
The faculty includes artists such as Arabic hip-hop artist Tayeb Santo and DJ/producer Cyrill Reaidy. More names will be announced soon, along with guest artists visiting for short-term collaborations and workshops.
The institute’s format allows students to participate in studio sessions, mentoring programs, and live performances across Dubai. There will also be opportunities to release original music and take part in songwriting sessions and DJ training.
With a flexible space and a focus on applied learning, the Digital Renaissance Music Institute aims to contribute to the region’s evolving creative landscape.
