DoubleTree by Hilton Resort & Spa Marjan Island strengthens leadership team with four new appointments

Located on the shores of Marjan Island, DoubleTree by Hilton Resort & Spa Marjan Island remains a key player in Ras Al Khaimah’s hospitality sector, offering a mix of relaxation and leisure. As part of its continued growth, the resort has welcomed four new senior team members, each bringing valuable expertise to support its operations and enhance the guest experience.

Ansen Sousa has joined as Director of Human Resources, bringing over 14 years of hospitality experience. Known for his team-focused approach, Ansen previously served as HR Manager at DoubleTree by Hilton Sharjah Waterfront Hotel & Residences, where he led over 200 team members and introduced initiatives that improved employee engagement and onboarding. A certified Hilton and DoubleTree Brand Trainer, Ansen was also part of the team that received the 2024 HRME Award for HR Department of the Year. In his new role, he will focus on building a strong workplace culture aligned with the brand’s goals.

Mohamed Hegab takes on the role of Director of Engineering. With 13 years in hospitality engineering across the UAE, Oman, and Egypt, Mohamed was most recently Chief Engineer at Hilton Garden Inn Dubai. There, he led projects including the implementation of smart room technology and major refurbishments, earning him Hilton EMEA’s Engineering Leader of the Year 2023. At Marjan Island, he will support the resort’s infrastructure, sustainability initiatives, and guest comfort.

Erica Quintero joins as Quality Manager. With more than a decade of experience in front-office operations at luxury hotels in the UAE and Qatar, Erica brings a well-rounded view of hospitality operations. Her background includes leadership in concierge, guest relations, and VIP services, alongside experience in revenue generation and expense management. At DoubleTree Marjan Island, she will focus on quality assurance and service consistency, supporting the resort’s commitment to high operational standards.

Mahesh Ariyanathan steps into the role of Recreation Manager, drawing on ten years of experience in the UAE hospitality sector. In previous roles, he oversaw recreation across four hotel brands, led a team of over 40 staff, and introduced a wellness programme. Mahesh will manage the resort’s spa, recreation, and beach facilities, focusing on operational performance and guest experience across family-friendly offerings.
