Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) 2025 is currently underway, offering a variety of live entertainment, concerts, theatre, cultural events, and comedy across Dubai until 31 August. Organised by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), this year’s line-up includes international and regional performers, West End-style tributes, and a diverse range of comedy acts, all staged at some of the city’s best-known venues.
The popular Beat The Heat DXB Concert Series continues through July at Zabeel Hall 6, Dubai World Trade Centre, showcasing artists like Soulja, Montiyago, Bader Al Shuaibi, Abdulaziz Louis, Nasser Abbas, Akhras, Big Sam, and Lana Lubany. A new addition for 2025, DSS Gahwa Beats brings live music, giveaways, and community activities to local cafés on Saturdays from 26 July to 23 August. Venue details will be announced soon.
Music fans can look forward to TJ Monterde performing on 13 July at Coca-Cola Arena, followed by Shreya Ghoshal on 19 July at Dubai World Trade Centre. The season also includes Spacetoon Memories with Assem Sukkar at Zabeel Theatre from 2 to 3 August, and a series of family-friendly musical theatre performances at Jumeirah Beach Hotel’s Meyana Auditorium throughout August, including productions of Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, Alice in Wonderland, and Treasure Island.
South Border and Kris Lawrence will perform on 16 August at Sheikh Rashid Auditorium. On 9 August, Kingdom Festival brings Afrobeat and Amapiano sounds to Dubai World Trade Centre, featuring acts like Zakes Bantwini, Uncle Waffles, and Swazi DJ. Best of Anime by Dreamlights presents an orchestral take on anime music on 15 August at Zabeel Theatre. Natalie Imbruglia performs at Dubai Opera on 23 August. Macy Gray headlines Coca-Cola Arena on 29 August, followed by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan on 30 August. The summer closes with Hearts in Harmony on 31 August at Dubai Opera, featuring Javed Ali and Ustad Ghulam Ali. The stage show Red Carpet also debuts at Dubai Opera on 29 and 30 August, bringing a live talent-show-inspired production to audiences.
On the comedy front, Roxy Cinemas at Dubai Hills Mall hosts a stand-up show on 16 August, with local comedians performing in a unique cinema setting. Gaurav Gupta wraps up the comedy season with two shows at Dubai College Auditorium on 30 August, blending Hindi storytelling with everyday humour.
Dubai Dates 2025 returns from 25 July to 1 August at Qalaat Al Remaal on Dubai-Al Ain Road. Organised by the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Center, the event celebrates date cultivation with exhibitions, activities, and family programming rooted in local traditions.
