Dubai Culture & Arts Authority has announced the launch of its Ramadan Nights programme, a community-focused initiative celebrating Emirati culture and authentic values during the holy month of Ramadan.
Part of the Season of Wulfa initiative, which aims to strengthen family bonds and highlight Emirati social and cultural occasions, Ramadan Nights will take place across Dubai Culture’s cultural and heritage assets. The programme is designed to offer residents and visitors an opportunity to experience the traditions and atmosphere of Ramadan through a series of cultural activities and performances inspired by local heritage.
Al Safa Art & Design Library will host a range of workshops and interactive activities in its outdoor courtyard. Organised by Dubai Public Libraries under the School of Life initiative, the sessions aim to develop cultural and life skills across the community.
Programmes include a Free Drawing Space where visitors can create artwork inspired by Ramadan, as well as a Ramadan Thoughts Wall that invites participants to share literary reflections and personal messages. Families and children can take part in a Ramadan Lantern Decorating activity and a Colouring Wall, alongside a Treasure Hunt featuring puzzles and hidden Ramadan symbols throughout the library.
Visitors will also have access to a board games corner and a traditional Ramadan majlis setting. Evening activities will include henna art sessions, Arabic calligraphy workshops, traditional methods of preparing matcha, and perfume-making and blending workshops.
The Ramadan Nights programme will also feature live musical performances, traditional storytelling sessions, and choral performances reflecting the spirit of the holy month. In addition, a creative market will provide a platform for artists, entrepreneurs and local talents to showcase Ramadan-inspired artwork and handmade products.
Through Ramadan Nights, Dubai Culture aims to foster community connection and create shared cultural experiences during Ramadan across the emirate.
