The Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC) is currently in full swing, having kicked off on October 26, 2024, and running until November 24, 2024, at various locations across Dubai, including Kite Beach, Zabeel Park, Al Warqa’a Park, and Expo City Dubai. Organized by the Dubai Sports Council and Dubai Economy and Tourism, this initiative is spearheaded by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai.
This month-long initiative encourages participants to commit to 30 minutes of exercise every day for 30 days, featuring a range of activities, fitness villages, and community hubs designed to support individuals at all fitness levels. Running until November 24, this is a great opportunity to kickstart your health and wellness journey and incorporate fitness into your daily routine.

Week One Highlights
Three 30 x 30 Fitness Villages:
- Kite Beach Fitness Village:
Engage in the 30 x 30 Challenge at the iconic DP World Kite Beach. This fitness hub offers various activities across multiple zones, catering to both intense workouts and more relaxed exercise sessions, including dedicated kids’ classes. The village features amenities like the Decathlon Sports Court and Emirates NBD Aqua Park. It is open weekdays from 8 AM to 1 PM for schools and from 3 PM to 11 PM for the public, and from 7 AM to 11 PM on weekends.
- Zabeel Park Fitness Village:
The Zabeel Park 30 x 30 Fitness Village includes diverse fitness areas suitable for all abilities, featuring a Cricket Zone, Running Club, and Kids’ Fitness Zone. Open Monday to Thursday from 4 PM to 11 PM and Friday to Sunday from 8 AM to midnight, it serves as an inviting space for outdoor activities and community engagement.
- Al Warqa’a Park Fitness Village:
Located in Al Warqa’a Park, this village includes a Cycling Hub with 75 bikes, a new Running Club, and zones dedicated to children and sports enthusiasts. Open Sunday to Thursday from 4 PM to 11 PM and Friday to Saturday until 11:30 PM, it provides a vibrant environment for families to stay active.
Community Hubs Across the City:
Explore thousands of fitness classes and activities available at various community hubs throughout Dubai. Highlights for week one include:
- Aqua Fishing Academy Fitness Hub at Palm View East: Daily sessions from October 28 to November 2, starting at 1 PM and 2 PM.
- City Walk Fitness Hub: Daily activities, including belly dancing and meditation sessions.
- Dubai Design District Fitness Hub: Free workout sessions daily from 3 PM to 9 PM.
- Expo City Dubai Fitness Hub: Family-friendly activities at Al Forsan Park, daily from October 29 to November 3, from 7 AM to 8 PM.
- Global Village Fitness Hub: Kids’ activities at the Kids’ Theatre, daily from 5 PM to 9 PM.
- Golf is Good Fitness Hub: Engaging golf-related activities at various venues throughout DFC.
Community Events:
A variety of events are scheduled to keep participants motivated:
- Dubai Active: Featuring the latest fitness trends with celebrity trainers Kayla Itsines and Leana Deeb at the Dubai Exhibition Centre from October 25 to 27.
- Arabian Warrior Dubai: An obstacle course racing series on October 26 at Dubai Island.
- Plus500 City Half Marathon: A scenic run through Downtown Dubai on October 27.
- Skechers Night Run: Community races at The Track Meydan Golf on October 30.
- Rashid and Latifa Fun Duathlon: A fun day for kids at Expo City Dubai on November 1.
- Skechers Inflatable Obstacle Race: An exciting course on November 2 at Expo City Dubai.
- Women’s Run 2024: A ladies-only race on November 3 in Al Forsan Park, celebrating female empowerment.
