As temperatures continue to rise across the city, Dubai is introducing a new way for residents and visitors to stay active and cool. On Saturday, 29 June, Ski Dubai will host the city’s first indoor Snow Duathlon, a fitness event combining stationary cycling and running on snow.
Organised by the Dubai Fitness Council in partnership with CRANK Dubai Fitness Studio, the duathlon will take place in Ski Dubai’s -4°C environment. The event is open to participants aged 13 to 60, who can choose to take part individually or in teams of two.
Participants will complete a 5-kilometre stationary bike ride, followed by either a 3-kilometre (three-loop) or 5-kilometre (five-loop) snow run within the indoor ski facility.
Each finisher will receive a commemorative medal. The top three finishers in each category will be recognised and awarded prizes.
For those who prefer water-based activities, several venues across Dubai offer nighttime swimming, including Cloud 22 at Atlantis The Royal and Barasti Beach Bar.
