Dubai’s live music calendar this April features a varied line-up of performances spanning electronic, rock, classical and jazz genres. With international artists, regional acts and curated productions taking place across multiple venues, the programme reflects the city’s continued focus on offering diverse cultural experiences for residents and visitors.
Electronic music features prominently this month, with Marco Carola set to perform at Playa Pacha, FIVE LUXE JBR on April 17 as part of his Music On residency. The event is expected to draw fans of techno and house music, supported by guest performances.
On April 18, Ukrainian duo ARTBAT will present their UPPERGROUND show at Ushuaïa Dubai Harbour Experience. Known for melodic techno sets and visual production, the one-night event adds to the city’s growing electronic music offerings.
For audiences interested in alternative and rock influences, Boris Grebenshikov will perform at The Agenda on April 19. Accompanied by his BG+ ensemble, the set will include selections from his latest album Strange News from a Distant Star alongside earlier work.
Classical and crossover programming is also part of the month’s schedule. The Firdaus Orchestra will present Rock Classics at Expo City Dubai on April 24, reinterpreting well-known tracks from artists including Queen, The Beatles and Coldplay in an orchestral format.
Meanwhile, beachfront venue programming continues with Blockbuster Dubai Edition on April 23 at Surf Club, Palm Jumeirah. Headlined by DJ Ganesh, the event will feature a mix of commercial, Bollywood and global music.
At Dubai Opera, Canadian pianist Tony Ann will perform on April 29, with support from electroacoustic duo ARKAI. The programme combines contemporary piano with classical influences.
The venue will also host Blue Note – Celebrating Jazz Day on April 30, marking International Jazz Day. Led by Peter Long, the performance will include international artists interpreting works associated with Blue Note Records, along with a guest appearance by Francesco Cafiso. The programme pays tribute to influential jazz figures such as John Coltrane, Miles Davis and Herbie Hancock.
