Dubai’s Ripe Market Returns for Seventh Season at Police Academy Park

The Ripe Market has officially launched its seventh season at the Dubai Police Academy Park in Umm Suqeim. Organized annually by the Security Awareness Department of the General Department of Community Happiness in collaboration with Ripe Market, this event aligns with Dubai Police’s strategic focus on fostering community happiness, ensuring a safe city, and promoting institutional innovation.

The initiative is designed to support local businesses and promote social responsibility through partnerships with the private sector. It serves as part of Dubai Police’s broader effort to engage with the community, spreading awareness and fostering positive relationships with UAE citizens, residents, and visitors.

The Ripe Market at Dubai Police Academy Park offers a platform for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to showcase their products, including handcrafted items such as leather bags, handmade jewelry, fashion pieces, and art. Visitors can also explore unique offerings from local businesses, including perfumes and handmade crafts. The market is open every Saturday from 9am to 9pm and Sunday from 9am to 7pm, running through May 2025.

Mona Al Mazrouei, Project Manager, said “We place great emphasis on this project as it enhances our outreach to different community groups. The market provides various services in partnership with Ripe Market, a leader in local economic support, focusing on promoting productive families and spreading noble societal values. It also offers a platform for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to showcase their unique products in a vibrant social environment.”

In addition to shopping, visitors can participate in a range of family-friendly activities. The opening event featured luxury police patrol cars, appearances by the Dubai Police mascot Officer Mansour, and a variety of food trucks offering diverse cuisine.

Sports enthusiasts can take part in activities organized by the General Department of Community Happiness, including the “Skechers” family fun run, indoor football, tennis competitions, and swimming events. Gym equipment and a walking track are also available for those looking to stay active during their visit.
