The Welcome Ceremony of the Open Masters Games Abu Dhabi 2026 was held at Zayed Sports City Stadium, bringing together athletes and delegates from across the world to mark the opening of the region’s first Masters Games. The event formed part of a multi-sport competition organised by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council in partnership with the International Masters Games Association.
For the ceremony, Enjoy Technology supported the delivery of event technology and technical integration required for the production. The company worked as part of the wider technical team responsible for ensuring that key show systems were implemented and operated smoothly during the ceremony programme.
Enjoy Technology’s role focused on providing technical event support and coordinating with production and staging partners involved in the show. The scope included assisting with event technology infrastructure and supporting the integration of technical systems used across the ceremony environment.
The ceremony production was led by People&Co., which managed the creative direction and overall show production. A number of technical partners were involved in delivering the staging and show environment, including Creative Technology, TAIT and Clair Global.
The Welcome Ceremony marked the start of the 2026 edition of the Games, which brought together thousands of athletes aged 30 and above to compete in multiple sports across venues in Abu Dhabi, highlighting participation in sport at all stages of life.
