Etihad Airways has announced the addition of seven new destinations as part of its strategy to increase direct, point-to-point connectivity to Abu Dhabi.

The newly added cities include Almaty (Kazakhstan), Baku (Azerbaijan), Bucharest (Romania), Medina (Saudi Arabia), Tbilisi (Georgia), Tashkent (Uzbekistan), and Yerevan (Armenia).

Flights are expected to go on sale in the coming days. Services to Medina will begin in November 2025, while the other routes are set to start in March 2026.

With these additions, Etihad has announced a total of 27 new destinations for 2025, including year-round and seasonal routes.

Antonoaldo Neves, Etihad’s Chief Executive Officer, said, “Our goal is clear, we want to bring more people directly to Abu Dhabi. These new routes connect us to fast-growing, culturally rich regions and will help stimulate demand for tourism and trade in the UAE’s capital.”
