Rove Hotels, a lifestyle brand based in Dubai, redefines hospitality with its focus on modern design, sustainability, and local culture. Offering stylish, functional accommodations in well-connected locations, Rove provides great value for city explorers seeking to experience their destination like a local. Whether for digital nomads or curious travelers, Rove’s relaxed atmosphere and service create a welcoming space to connect with the city while enjoying comfort and convenience.

Paul Bridger, COO of Rove Hotels, shares with EVENTFAQS Media the brand’s focus on sustainability, flexibility, and innovative spaces, positioning it as a top choice for event planners and travelers in Dubai’s growing tourism sector.

What trends do you see shaping the future of the hospitality industry, and how is Rove Hotels preparing for these changes?

At Rove Hotels, we are committed to sustainability, taking bold steps such as eliminating single-use plastics, composting all our food waste, and digitizing processes to reduce paper usage by over 90%. With the rise of remote work, we’ve embraced the trend by offering flexible co-working spaces and meeting rooms that cater to both business and leisure needs. We’ve also introduced unique spaces like the Rove Podcast Studio, Nikon Photography Studio, and the Middle East’s only Gamer Caves to create one-of-a-kind experiences for our guests.

We focus on delivering authentic local touches to make every stay memorable. By collaborating with local artists to showcase their work and partnering with homegrown brands, we enrich the experience for our Rovers while supporting our community. These efforts reflect our dedication to innovation, sustainability, and meaningful connections.

Rove Hotels is known for its vibrant and contemporary appeal. Can you share a particularly memorable event or collaboration hosted at one of your properties, and what made it a standout moment for both your team and the participants?

Over the last few years, Rove Hotels has had the privilege of hosting a variety of significant events, each contributing to our vibrant and contemporary appeal. One standout moment was Breakout DXB in late 2020, where we collaborated with local event organizers to host a music festival at Rove Downtown. This event was particularly memorable as it marked the first large gathering in the city since the onset of the pandemic and it served as a way to kickstart live events and revitalising the industry.

Additionally, Rove Expo City served as the only on-ground hotel during Expo 2020, welcoming over 250,000 Rovers in just six months. During COP28, Rove Expo City once again stood out as the sole on-site hotel, hosting country delegations and officials. We were also the venue for significant events, such as the Net Zero Nuclear Event, attended by prominent figures like Emmanuel Macron and Bill Gates.

Looking ahead, how do you see Rove Hotels evolving in terms of event offerings and partnerships, and what role do you envision the brand playing in shaping the future of Dubai’s events and hospitality landscape?

As Dubai solidifies its position as a global event hub, Rove Hotels is set to play a pivotal role in this growth. With a strategic presence across the city and a diverse range of locations, Rove is a preferred choice for event organizers. We’re committed to advancing with the industry by investing in cutting-edge technology and sustainable practices.

Furthermore, our partnerships with major events and exhibitions provide us with insights into the evolving landscape, ensuring we stay ahead of trends. To maintain our reputation as a forward-thinking brand, we focus on continuous staff training, equipping our team with the skills needed to deliver exceptional service.

Rove Hotels embraces innovation and adaptability, providing modern solutions for international conferences and exhibitions to meet future event industry demands.
