Global Village Expected To Reopen In October 2026 For Its 31st Season

An official announcement confirming the reopening date for Season 31 is expected closer to the start of the new season.

Global Village is expected to reopen in October 2026 for its 31st season following its annual summer closure. While the attraction has not yet announced an official opening date, it is anticipated to welcome visitors back in mid-October, in line with its usual seasonal schedule.

Global Village concluded its 30th season on May 31, 2026, before closing for the summer due to the region’s high temperatures. Based on previous years, the attraction is expected to reopen on either Wednesday, October 14, 2026, or Wednesday, October 21, 2026, with opening ceremonies traditionally taking place on a Wednesday around the middle of October.

The seasonal destination brings together international pavilions, dining concepts, entertainment, shopping and family attractions, making it one of Dubai’s recurring annual attractions during the cooler months.

Global Village was first introduced in 1996 as a temporary attraction in a parking area near Dubai Creek, opposite the Dubai Municipality building. It was created as part of the Dubai Shopping Festival to support inbound tourism.

Over the years, the destination operated from several locations, including Dubai Creek, Dubai Festival City and Oud Metha, before moving to its current 17.2 million-square-foot site in Dubailand in 2005.

An official announcement confirming the reopening date for Season 31 is expected closer to the start of the new season.
