Hoorat A’ali to Host 2025 Edition of Bahrain’s Date Palm Tree Festival from July 30 to August 2

The event aims to promote local farming practices and preserve the role of the date palm in Bahrain’s economy and identity.

The Bahrain Date Palm Tree Festival will return to the Farmers’ Market in Hoorat A’ali from July 30 to August 2, 2025. Also known as the Palm Tree Festival, the event highlights Bahrain’s date farming traditions and supports local producers and artisans.

Organised by the Farmers’ Market management under the Bahrain Development Bank Group, in collaboration with the National Initiative for Agricultural Development and the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, the festival provides a platform for showcasing various date-based products and traditional crafts.

Visitors can explore a wide selection of Bahraini dates, including popular varieties such as medjool, ajwa and tamar, as well as date-flavoured ice creams, juices, jams and sweets. The festival will also feature live demonstrations of traditional basket weaving and palm crafts.

Cultural workshops and a dedicated family zone will offer activities for children up to five years old, along with interactive sessions that highlight aspects of Bahrain’s agricultural and artisanal heritage. The event aims to promote local farming practices and preserve the role of the date palm in Bahrain’s economy and identity.

The Bahrain Date Palm Tree Festival will run daily from 8am to 5pm at the Farmers’ Market in Hoorat A’ali.
