Koelnmesse and dmg events have announced the launch of the International Dentistry Exhibition and Meeting Saudi Arabia (IDEM Saudi Arabia), scheduled to take place from 27 to 29 September 2026 at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center (RICEC) in Riyadh.
The event is being introduced in response to growth across Saudi Arabia’s dental sector, supported by demand for cosmetic and implant dentistry, expansion of private clinics, increasing patient volumes and wider adoption of digital workflows.
According to IMARC Group, Saudi Arabia’s dental devices market is projected to reach US$ 286.6 million by 2033, while the consumables segment is expected to grow to US$ 465.5 million. The market is undergoing modernisation, with clinics adopting technologies such as intraoral scanners and 3D printing, increasing demand for materials, systems and components.
Saudi Arabia has not previously had a dedicated large-scale international platform focused on dentistry that aligns with the Kingdom’s healthcare transformation under Vision 2030. IDEM Saudi Arabia is intended to provide a platform for industry participants, with a focus on the local market.
The exhibition has been developed through a partnership between Koelnmesse and dmg events. The two organisers collectively deliver close to 200 events globally and have experience across healthcare, medical technology and industry exhibitions. The event will also draw on Koelnmesse’s experience in dental exhibitions such as IDEM Singapore and IDEC, Indonesia Dental Exhibition and Conference, alongside dmg events’ regional operations.
IDEM Saudi Arabia will feature products and services from international manufacturers, regional distributors and Saudi suppliers. The programme will include continuing professional development sessions, workshops and case-based discussions covering digital dentistry and aesthetic procedures.
The event will also include business and procurement forums focused on purchasing, hospital tendering and clinic expansion, as well as an innovation zone highlighting developments in artificial intelligence diagnostics, 3D printing, biomaterials and clinical workflows. Networking programmes are planned to support meetings between buyers and suppliers from Saudi Arabia and the Gulf region.
