The Liwa International Festival 2026 is set to return to Al Dhafra from December 12, 2025, to January 3, 2026, offering 23 days of motorsports, cultural heritage, and family-friendly entertainment.
Organised by the Liwa Sports Club, in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and the Abu Dhabi Media Office, the festival has grown from a regional motorsport event into one of Abu Dhabi’s leading winter experiences since its debut in 2001. Taking place at the foot of the 300-metre-high Tal Moreeb dune, the event brings together residents and visitors for a celebration of Emirati heritage, sports, and outdoor activities.
According to the Abu Dhabi Media Office, the festival will open with a performance by the Forsan Al Emarat aerobatic team, followed by fireworks, light shows, and drone displays.
