Messe Frankfurt Middle East to Organise Paperworld Middle East 2026 in Dubai

Paperworld Middle East 2026 will bring together industry players to showcase products, explore sourcing opportunities and discuss emerging trends across stationery, paper, education, creative supplies, gifting and lifestyle.

Messe Frankfurt Middle East will organise Paperworld Middle East 2026, taking place from October 13-15 at Dubai World Trade Centre, with sustainability, pricing pressures, supply chain challenges and the growing crossover between stationery, gifting and lifestyle products expected to feature among the key themes at the 15th edition.

The exhibition will bring together manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, wholesalers, retailers and procurement professionals from across the international paper and stationery sector. The event will cover paper and paper products, office and stationery supplies, digital stationery, school supplies, teaching and learning materials, classroom equipment, hobby and craft products, art supplies, paper processing machinery, gifting and lifestyle products.

Exhibitors participating in the 2026 edition point to a market where buyers are increasingly weighing sustainability, quality, design, availability and supplier reliability alongside price.

Kartik Gopal, AVP – International Business at Hindustan Pencils, said responsible sourcing, recycled materials and non-toxic products are becoming standard expectations among buyers and retailers. He also highlighted continued price sensitivity caused by fluctuations in raw material costs, including plastic inputs linked to crude oil prices.

Supply and logistics costs remain another challenge for manufacturers and buyers. Port congestion, shipping route disruptions and higher fuel costs have continued to affect global freight rates, adding pressure to sourcing and distribution.

Justin Abraham, Operations Lead at GiGiS International, a UAE-based stationery brand exporting to more than 40 markets, identified product innovation, premium offerings, e-commerce and expansion into emerging markets as areas of opportunity amid rising raw material costs.

The pressure to balance affordability with product differentiation is particularly evident in writing instruments. Praveen Bafna, Managing Director of Saino Pen & Plastic, said the sector is becoming increasingly design-driven, with buyers looking for products that combine quality, affordability and aesthetics while expecting faster product development and greater flexibility from suppliers.

At the same time, stationery is extending beyond traditional school and office applications into creativity, personalisation, gifting and lifestyle. Global Market Insights values the art and creative supplies segment at US$19 billion in 2025 and identifies it as the fastest-growing product segment within the wider stationery market.

Walter Yu, Head of Global Department at MORRIS, said the stationery and gifting sectors are increasingly overlapping with lifestyle and toy categories as manufacturers respond to changing consumer preferences.

These developments will form part of the wider product and sourcing landscape at Paperworld Middle East 2026, where international manufacturers and suppliers will present products across stationery, paper, education, creative supplies and gifting.

Mark Palmer, Show Director, Paperworld Middle East, said: “Buyers are balancing sustainability, quality and competitive pricing with the need for dependable supply, while changing consumer habits continue to reshape the market. Paperworld Middle East provides the opportunity to see these shifts first-hand, compare different approaches and identify the products and partnerships that will influence sourcing decisions for the year ahead.”

Organised by Messe Frankfurt Middle East, Paperworld Middle East 2026 will take place from October 13-15 at Dubai World Trade Centre, bringing together international manufacturers and suppliers with distributors, wholesalers, retailers and procurement professionals.
