Under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, the State of Qatar, represented by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), is preparing to host the inaugural edition of MWC Doha on 25–26 November 2025 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC). The event is organised by the GSMA, the global organisation unifying the mobile ecosystem, in partnership with MCIT.
This will be the first time the MWC series is held in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, positioning Doha as a regional platform for dialogue on digital transformation. MWC25 Doha is expected to welcome participants from around 60 countries, including senior executives, technology leaders, investors, policymakers, and innovators. The event will feature exhibitions, networking spaces, and panel discussions led by global speakers.
H.E. Mr. Mohammed bin Ali Al Mannai, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, said:
“Hosting MWC25 Doha under the patronage of His Excellency the Prime Minister reflects Qatar’s strategy to advance digital innovation. The event supports the directives of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Amir of the State of Qatar, to build a sustainable, knowledge-based economy. MWC25 Doha is an opportunity to connect with global experts and foster partnerships that benefit both the region and the wider digital economy.”
Vivek Badrinath, Director General, GSMA, said: “We are pleased to bring MWC to Qatar, supporting the region’s progress in digital development. MWC25 Doha offers a space for collaboration among technology companies, startups, and policymakers. We look forward to contributing to the region’s growing role in global tech innovation and investment.”
MWC25 Doha will feature core elements of the global MWC series, including the 4YFN platform and the GSMA Ministerial Programme. 4YFN will focus on connecting startups with investors and partners. The Ministerial Programme will convene policymakers and industry leaders to discuss policies supporting innovation, investment, and inclusive digital growth. The programme will include policy sessions, closed-door meetings, and curated networking.
Confirmed exhibitors include Mannai, Cisco, and Nokia, with additional participants to be announced. The event will also feature national pavilions from South Korea and Turkey. Ooredoo has been confirmed as Strategic Partner, and Qatar University will serve as Educational Partner—the first time a university has taken on this role in an MWC event.
The conference agenda will focus on three key themes:
- AI Nexus: the impact of artificial intelligence on business, government, and daily life;
- Intelligent Economies: digital infrastructure, data sovereignty, and network innovation;
- Connected Industries: how emerging technologies are being applied across sectors such as finance, logistics, energy, and mobility.
Specialised tracks will address topics including agentic AI, future telecom networks, fintech, smart mobility, data centers, 5G, IoT, and satellite connectivity. Each track will bring together experts to explore current trends, real-world use cases, and policy considerations.
MWC25 Doha aligns with Qatar’s national strategy to support digital transformation across key sectors. It also contributes to the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030, aiming to position the country as a leader in innovation, connectivity, and smart infrastructure within the region.
