The Dubai Mallathon, launched by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, began on July 24 and will continue until the end of August 2025. The initiative transforms nine of Dubai’s malls into walking and running tracks, offering residents and visitors the opportunity to exercise in air-conditioned environments.
Participants can take part in 10k, 5k, and 2.5k runs, as well as casual walks held daily between 7 am and 10 am. Registration remains open until 11:54 pm on August 30 and is free of charge. Upon registering, participants receive a digital Mallathon card.
Building on the success of the Dubai Fitness Challenge, which introduced large-scale events such as Dubai Run and Dubai Ride, Sheikh Hamdan’s latest initiative continues to promote the integration of fitness into everyday routines. The malls taking part include The Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates, Dubai Hills Mall, Deira City Centre, City Centre Mirdif, Dubai Marina Mall, The Springs Souk, Dubai Festival City Mall, and Dubai Festival Plaza. Each location has a clearly marked starting point to guide participants through their runs and walks.
Alongside the daily activities, main event runs are scheduled throughout August, with upcoming dates at City Centre Deira on August 23, The Dubai Mall on August 24, Dubai Hills Mall on August 30, and Dubai Festival City Mall on August 31. In addition to encouraging active lifestyles, the Dubai Mallathon also offers participants access to special deals at selected restaurants and shops within the malls.
