Percept Weddings, the luxury weddings and social events division of Percept Limited, curated and executed a destination wedding for Raina Singh and Ankush Sehgal from 23rd to 26th January 2026 in Doha, Qatar. Hosted at Hilton Salwa Beach Resort & Villas, the multi-day celebration brought together 550 guests from across the world. The wedding was conceptualised and produced end-to-end by Percept Weddings, covering creative direction, production, hospitality, entertainment curation, guest management and on-ground execution.
Set along the Arabian Gulf, the resort’s beachfront and venues including private villas, the North Pool, Al Masarra Ballroom and Nesma Courtyard shaped the celebrations. The families envisioned a wedding that honoured Indian traditions while incorporating an international design perspective, resulting in a structured and culturally rooted experience across multiple venues.

The Haldi ceremony took place at the Royal Villa, where pink and blush floral arrangements complemented the architecture of the space. Designed as an intimate gathering, the ceremony focused on close family participation. DJ Hriday provided live percussion, and the ceremony concluded with a floral shower for the couple.
An intimate Welcome Dinner followed at the Levantine Courtyard, designed with long-table seating to encourage interaction. Arabian architectural elements were highlighted with ambient lighting, floral accents, palm fronds, gold drapes and candlelit tables. Speeches from family and friends marked the evening.

The Mehendi lunch at the North Pool adopted a coastal theme titled “50 Shades of Blue,” drawing inspiration from the sea. Nautical elements including oyster shell installations, pearls and marine motifs were incorporated into the décor. A personalised charm station allowed guests to create keepsakes. The couple’s entry was accompanied by dhols, while Dubai-based percussionist Walter performed water drumming alongside DJ Konark. A curated beverage programme featuring sangria and Aperol Spritz complemented the daytime celebration.

The Sangeet at Al Masarra Ballroom followed a traditional layout with a design palette of mocha and warm brown tones. Drapery, mirrored accents and candlelit lighting defined the setting, anchored by a 14-foot chandelier installation. Family performances were central to the evening, supported by production that blended English-Hindi musical mashups. Performances by Jeffrey Iqbal and his troupe, along with DJ Konark, LED roaming drums, live handpan and darbuka percussion by Walter, shaped the musical direction.

The wedding ceremony commenced with the Sehrabandi at the North Pool, followed by a beachfront Baraat procession to the Nesma Courtyard featuring dhols, a DJ truck, a mobile bar and the groom’s arrival in a horse-drawn chariot. Despite a brief sandstorm, the ceremony proceeded as planned. The bride entered along a water-set aisle framed by the illuminated hotel façade and fireworks. Accompanied by a live harpist, the couple exchanged vows beneath a floral mandap, concluding with a Jaimala and pyrotechnic display.

The celebrations concluded with a Sufi Night themed “Night Under the Stars.” Styled in white with mirrored accents, the setting incorporated natural urns, rajnigandha and mogra florals, and candlelight. Live Sufi band Qafila led the evening, with vocals by Shadab Faridi accompanying the couple’s entry. Whirling dervishes and DJ Konark’s contemporary set shaped the closing experience.
Fashion played a defining role across events. Raina Singh wore ensembles by Mrunalini Rao for the Haldi, Arpita Mehta for the Mehendi, Tarun Tahiliani and Sabyasachi for the Sangeet, and Nakul Sen for the Sufi Night. Ankush Sehgal’s wardrobe featured creations by Divyam Mehta, Rohit Bal, and Rohit & Rahul.
The culinary programme featured more than 20 live stations across events, offering Mediterranean, Continental, Indian and Asian selections alongside curated bars serving bespoke cocktails and premium spirits.
Khushi Singh Chaudhary, Vice President – Percept Weddings, said, “This celebration was shaped by a deep understanding of our clients and a clearly articulated creative vision, translated into a meticulously crafted, bespoke experience. Every detail, from the destination and spatial design to the flow of rituals, fashion, gastronomy and entertainment, was thoughtfully curated to reflect the couple and their families. By harmonising cultural authenticity with refined global sensibilities, the wedding emerged as a deeply personal and immersive celebration with a lasting resonance for the bridal couple and their families and guests.”
