Umm Al Emarat Park will host the second edition of Ramadan Nights at the Park during the Holy Month, following its introduction last year. The month-long programme is designed to offer families and friends shared experiences that reflect values of togetherness, cultural connection and reflection, in line with the UAE’s Year of Family.
Set within the park’s natural surroundings during Abu Dhabi’s winter season, the initiative will present a range of community-focused activities in an outdoor setting where visitors can gather and observe Ramadan.
Each evening, the Iftar cannon will mark the breaking of the fast at the park’s Main Gate, beginning on the final day of Sha’ban at Maghrib prayer time.
From 19 February, visitors can gather at the Ramadan Garden, a dedicated outdoor space within the park, to enjoy Iftar accompanied by live oud music. The Ramadan Garden Iftar menu has been curated in collaboration with Emirati chef Mariam Al Mansoori, drawing on Emirati hospitality, family traditions and recipes passed down through generations, alongside contemporary influences.
Iftar will be served daily at the Children’s Garden from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm and will include traditional Ramadan beverages. Special rates apply for children aged six to 12, with complimentary access for children up to six years old. Corporate Iftar options will be available for groups.
The Ramadan Pop-up Market will take place every Friday and Saturday from 8:00 pm to 1:00 am at the Promenade. The market will feature small businesses and food vendors, alongside Ramadan-themed entertainment that supports local entrepreneurship and community participation.
A programme of Ramadan-themed activities will also be held every Friday and Saturday during market hours. These include Hakawati storytelling sessions, lantern-making workshops, interactive gaming stations, live Arabic music performances and appearances by traditional characters, offering opportunities for younger visitors to engage with cultural aspects of the Holy Month.
Wellness sessions will be hosted at the Evening Garden, including a Sound Bath under the Stars on 18 February at 5:00 pm and a Full Moon Ceremony on 4 March at 8:00 pm.
Ramadan Nights at the Park is organised by Umm Al Emarat Park, which is managed by Salayel Hospitality, and continues to provide inclusive community spaces during the Holy Month.
