The Riyadh Racing Season 2026-27 will begin on October 16, 2026, at the King Abdulaziz Racecourse and continue through April 17, 2027.
The six-month season will feature 69 races with a total prize pool of SAR 197.8 million. Prize money has been increased across several major cups as part of the 2026-27 racing calendar.
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup, which serves as a qualifier for the Saudi Cup, will carry a prize purse of SAR 2 million, up from SAR 1.5 million. The Crown Prince Cup prize purse has increased from SAR 1 million to SAR 1.5 million.
The King Saud Cup and King Faisal Cup will each offer SAR 1 million, up from SAR 800,000. The Prince Naif Cup and Prince Sultan Cup will each carry SAR 800,000, compared with SAR 700,000 previously. The King Abdulaziz Racetrack Champion prize has also increased from SAR 300,000 to SAR 500,000.
The season will also introduce two new series by the Jockey Club of Saudi Arabia. The three-round Riyadh Crown will be held for locally bred horses and will offer SAR 6 million in prize money. The Riyadh Sword, for imported mares, will have a prize purse of SAR 1.537 million.
The calendar will also include the return of the King Abdulaziz Cups on March 12, 2027. The domestic cup will offer SAR 10.9 million in prize money.
The renamed Princess Noura bint Abdulrahman bin Faisal Cup will also feature in the season, carrying a prize purse of SAR 300,000.
