InClassica 2025 concluded at Dubai Opera with a finale that brought together world-renowned artists and distinguished international guests, marking the end of a season defined by musical excellence and cultural dialogue. The event was organised by SAMIT Event Group, under the patronage of the Embassy of Switzerland in the UAE and the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The festival opened on April 6th with a performance by violinist Roman Kim and the Franz Schubert Filharmonia conducted by John Warner, presenting works by Mozart, Shor, and Beethoven. The evening welcomed H.E. Sorayut Chasombat, Ambassador of Thailand to the UAE, who attended with his spouse, alongside Ms. Alexandra Miteran, Founder and CEO of SAMIT Event Group.
Italian violinist Giuseppe Gibboni appeared with the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra under Andrea Battistoni, delivering a program featuring Verdi, Shor, and Schubert. The performance highlighted the dynamic artistic collaborations that define the festival.
The festival welcomed H.E. OKANIWA Ken, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the UAE, with his spouse, together with H.E. Miss Nipa Nirannoot, Consul-General of Thailand in Dubai, and Ms. Alexandra Miteran. Their attendance underscored the festival’s growing presence among international cultural representatives.
Violinist Gil Shaham performed alongside the Franz Schubert Filharmonia under Tomàs Grau. The audience included H.E. Emilio Pin Godos, Ambassador of Spain to the UAE, who attended with his daughters, adding to the evening’s familial and cultural significance.
Cellist Gautier Capuçon appeared with the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra under Tomàs Grau, attended by H.E. Dr. Karoly Benes, Ambassador of Hungary to the UAE, who praised the balance and unity between soloist and orchestra.
Pianist and conductor Mikhail Pletnev performed a solo recital attended by H.E. Dr. Arthur Mattli, Ambassador of Switzerland to the UAE and the Kingdom of Bahrain, alongside Ms. Alexandra Miteran, reaffirming Switzerland’s cultural engagement in the festival.
Pianist Denis Kozhukhin presented a recital featuring works by Prokofiev, Shor, and Tchaikovsky. Distinguished guests included H.E. Mr. Antoine Delcourt, Ambassador of Belgium to the UAE, with his spouse, joined by Ms. Alexandra Miteran, H.E. Dr. Arthur Mattli, and composer-in-residence Alexey Shor.
The festival concluded with a duet recital by Daniel Lozakovich and Mikhail Pletnev, performing Schubert, Grieg, Franck and the Shor–Pletnev Violin Sonata. The Grand Finale was attended by H.E. Miss Nipa Nirannoot, Ms. Alexandra Miteran, H.E. Dr. Arthur Mattli, Layal Akhtiar, Dr. Mohammed Al Naeemat, Abdullah Al Namaeet, and Mr. Ibrahim Al Mannaee, Founder of Pura Eco Retreats.
Throughout the festival, SAMIT Event Group led the artistic programming, operational coordination, and guest hosting, furthering its commitment to presenting international classical performance at the highest standard and fostering cultural connection in the UAE.
