Saudi Arabia Launches Umrah Season for Hijri Year 1447, Nusuk App to Handle Permits from June 11

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced the start of the Umrah season for the Hijri year 1447, beginning Tuesday, June 10, with visa issuance now open for international pilgrims.

According to the ministry, foreign pilgrims can begin applying for Umrah permits starting Wednesday, June 11, through the “Nusuk” app — the official digital platform for accessing government services related to pilgrimage. The platform allows users to book and manage permits, and includes various digital features designed to support pilgrims throughout their journey.

This marks the start of a new season aligned with ongoing efforts under Saudi Vision 2030 to enhance services for Umrah visitors. Last season, the issuance of Umrah permits concluded in April 2025, with April 29 set as the final departure date due to the start of the Hajj season.

The ministry added that technical and operational preparations for the new season began early in coordination with other government bodies. These efforts aim to ensure efficient procedures and improve the overall experience for pilgrims.

Further developments include expanding digital and informational services in various languages, along with maintaining standards of safety and comfort for those performing Umrah.
