Expo 2025 Osaka is a World Expo scheduled to take place from April 13 to October 13, 2025, on Yumeshima Island in Osaka, Japan. This global event will bring together countries from around the world to showcase innovations, culture, and technological advancements under a common theme, offering a platform for nations to share their visions for the future and foster international collaboration.
Among the many countries participating, the Saudi Arabia Pavilion stands out as the second-largest after Japan, offering visitors an immersive experience that blends the Kingdom’s rich cultural heritage with its forward-looking Vision 2030.
Over the six months of the Expo, the Pavilion will host more than 700 events that celebrate Saudi Arabia’s diversity and transformation under Vision 2030, taking visitors on an Epic Journey of New Discoveries.
The event program has been designed for the visitor experience for the Saudi Pavilion, with each program being created, designed and curated to showcase Saudi Arabia’s cultural diversity, connect with global audiences, highlight investment and collaboration opportunities, and present a forward-looking vision of Saudi Arabia’s future.
In the first six weeks, visitors can enjoy various activities including live performances, cultural exhibitions, and interactive experiences. These include:
- The Botanist (13/04 – 13/10): A mobile app that lets visitors plant a tree in a virtual garden and learn about Saudi Arabia’s flora.
- Tales of Water (26/04 – 31/05): A performance comparing Japan’s Ama divers with Saudi Arabian pearl divers, exploring their journey to harvesting pearls.
- Theme Week Two – Leading Dialogues for Future Cities (15/05 – 26/05): Discussions on urban innovation, sustainable development, and smart technology for future cities.
- Mission Control: Mars (13/04 – 17/04): An interactive simulation where visitors can take on the role of an engineer working on the first Saudi human colony on Mars. Advance bookings are required.
- Ahlan Wa Sahlan (14/04 – 15/06): A demonstration of the traditional Saudi coffee brewing process.
- We Are Saudi Arabia (13/04 – 13/10): A performance that blends traditional dance, modern music, and Saudi craftsmanship, offering a look into the Kingdom’s past and present.
- Business Events (13/04 – 07/10): Events at the Collaboration Hub focused on discussions around investment, sustainability, and development.
- Cultural Visual Art Studio (13/04 – 13/10): A space where visitors can explore visual artworks reflecting Saudi culture. The first exhibition features Muhannad Shono’s “Absent Sky” (13th–28th April).
- Cultural Music Studio (13/04 – 13/10): A space for musical performances, including a track by Saudi artist Fulana (13th April–4th May).
The Pavilion will also commemorate significant events, such as the 70th anniversary of Saudi-Japan diplomatic relations and Saudi National Day on September 23.
While general admission to the Pavilion does not require a reservation, certain events like Mission Control: Mars do require advance booking. Tickets can be purchased through the official Expo website.
