Saudi Arabia is expanding its tourism offering across coastal, mountain, cultural, heritage and urban destinations, with a growing range of experiences available to domestic and international visitors.
The country’s tourism portfolio includes destinations along the Red Sea, mountain regions, historical and cultural sites, oases, cities and emerging entertainment and hospitality destinations. The sector is also seeing growth in events, leisure, hospitality and other tourism-related products.
This development was reflected in the participation of tourism companies and entities from across Saudi Arabia at the Spotlight World Travel Market exhibition, held in Riyadh from Tuesday to Thursday. The three-day event brought together travel and tourism industry leaders, investors and specialists to discuss market developments, tourism products and business opportunities.
Participation from Saudi tourism companies highlighted the increasing range of destinations and experiences available across the Kingdom. Tourism offerings now extend across marine, mountain, cultural, heritage and recreational tourism, alongside events, entertainment and hospitality.
At the “Saudi, Welcome to Arabia” pavilion, visitors were presented with tourism offerings from across the Kingdom, including coastal destinations and islands, mountain areas, oases, historical sites and major cities. The pavilion also highlighted museums, cultural and entertainment centres, shopping destinations and hospitality offerings.
The expanding range of tourism products is creating opportunities for travel, hospitality and investment companies to develop programmes and services for different visitor interests. It is also supporting partnerships with international markets and increasing the presence of Saudi destinations at global tourism exhibitions and industry platforms.
Saudi Arabia’s tourism sector continues to develop its destinations, hospitality facilities, products and services as part of the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. The sector’s development is aimed at attracting more visitors, strengthening international partnerships and creating opportunities for investment across tourism-related industries.
The Spotlight World Travel Market exhibition provided a platform for tourism industry leaders, investors and travel companies to connect and explore developments in the Kingdom’s tourism sector, while highlighting its natural, cultural, heritage and entertainment assets.
