Saudi Arabia to Host Second Edition of Saudi Snooker Masters at Green Halls, Jeddah in August 2025

The winner will receive £500,000, matching the top prize at the World Championship. A £50,000 bonus is also on offer for a 147 break.

The Saudi Arabia Snooker Masters will return for its second edition from 8th to 16th August 2025 at the Green Halls in Jeddah. Organised in partnership with the World Snooker Tour (WST), the World Nineball Tour (WNT), and the Saudi Arabian Billiard & Snooker Federation (SABSF), the event is supported by the Saudi Ministry of Sport as part of the country’s ongoing Vision 2030 initiative.

With a total prize fund of £2.3 million, the Saudi Snooker Masters 2025 is now the second richest tournament in professional snooker and is widely considered the sport’s emerging fourth major. The winner will receive £500,000, matching the top prize at the World Championship. A £50,000 bonus is also on offer for a 147 break.

A total of 144 players are set to compete, including 128 professionals from the World Snooker Tour and 16 wildcard entrants from Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East. The top 16 ranked players will enter directly in Round 5, while all others will begin from earlier rounds. The format progresses from best-of-7 in the early stages to a best-of-19 frame final played over two sessions.

Defending champion Judd Trump returns to Jeddah after his 2024 win over Mark Williams. He will be joined by leading names in the sport, including Ronnie O’Sullivan, Mark Selby, Neil Robertson, and Luca Brecel. Due to a clash with the 2025 World Games in Chengdu, Xiao Guodong and Bai Yulu have withdrawn from the tournament.

The Saudi Snooker Masters forms part of Saudi Arabia’s broader efforts to become a hub for major international sporting events. Through investment in facilities, athlete development, and global partnerships, the event aims to support long-term growth of cue sports within the Kingdom and beyond.

Matches will be broadcast live in the UK on TNT Sports and streamed via Discovery+. International viewers can also access select matches through bet365 Live Streaming.

Nayef Aljawini, President of the Saudi Arabian Billiards and Snooker Federation, stated, “This partnership places Saudi Arabia at the centre of the global snooker and billiards scene. It’s not just about hosting a major event; it’s about investing in local talent and providing opportunities for growth within cue sports.”
