Saudi Cricket Federation and Pakistan Cricket Board have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to develop a new international-standard cricket stadium in Jeddah.
The agreement was signed in Riyadh in the presence of Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Mohammed, Chairman of the Saudi Cricket Federation, and Mohsin Naqvi, Pakistan’s Interior Minister and Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board.
The proposed stadium is intended to support the hosting of international cricket tournaments in Saudi Arabia and contribute to the development of cricket infrastructure in the Kingdom.
Under the MoU, the two organisations will cooperate on stadium planning, technical expertise, infrastructure development, and the adoption of international standards and operational practices for cricket venues.
Prince Saud said the partnership represents a step toward strengthening cricket infrastructure in Saudi Arabia and supporting the long-term development of the sport through international cooperation.
The announcement comes as Saudi Arabia continues to expand its cricket ecosystem, including preparations for the launch of the Dunes T20 League, a six-team domestic T20 competition expected to begin in October.
