Sharjah will host a large-scale pop culture event celebrating the 1990s as The 90s by RBO takes place at Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park from February 12 to March 1, 2026. The festival will run daily from 4:00 pm to 12:00 am and will present a curated experience focused on music, film, gaming, food and cultural elements associated with the decade.
Organised by RBO Group, The 90s by RBO transforms the venue into a themed environment designed to reflect everyday life and entertainment from the 1990s. The festival layout includes multiple immersive zones featuring visual elements such as VHS tapes, flip phones and retro décor, creating a setting that reflects the decade’s popular culture and technology.
The event includes a dedicated gaming area showcasing classic cartridge-based consoles, including Sega and early PlayStation systems, allowing visitors to engage with games popular during the era. An open-air cinema forms another key feature of the festival, screening well-known 1990s films and television content on large outdoor screens throughout the event period.
Music plays a central role across the festival grounds, with playlists featuring popular tracks from the decade, including pop, dance and boy-band anthems that defined the period. A Memory Wall installation invites visitors to share and revisit personal memories connected to the 1990s, encouraging interaction and participation across age groups.
Food offerings at the festival are inspired by 1990s dining trends, with menus centred around diner-style burgers, milkshakes and familiar comfort foods, presented with a nostalgic theme while catering to a broad audience.
The 90s by RBO is open to families, music fans and pop culture enthusiasts and aims to present a comprehensive snapshot of the decade through entertainment, food and shared cultural references.
