Red Sea Global (RSG), the developer behind The Red Sea and Amaala, has announced the opening of Six Senses Amaala, a beachfront resort featuring 100 suites and villas along with 25 branded residences. The resort is set to welcome its first guests in mid-July.
Six Senses Amaala is the second project developed through the partnership between RSG and Six Senses, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts, following the opening of Six Senses Southern Dunes, The Red Sea, in 2023.
Located within the Amaala destination, the resort has been designed around wellness, sustainability, and the surrounding coastal environment. It offers views of the Red Sea coastline, beaches, mangroves, and desert landscapes.
John Pagano, Group CEO of Red Sea Global, said the partnership reflects the company’s focus on developing hospitality projects centred on regeneration, wellness, and responsible tourism.
The resort includes a Six Senses Spa with a Longevity Centre, Biohacking Recovery Lounge, Watsu pool, thermal facilities, a sound dome, and wellness programmes combining technology with holistic treatments.
Dining options include three restaurants, an artisan bakery, a coffee roastery, and a cooking school, with menus inspired by locally sourced ingredients and Six Senses’ wellbeing philosophy.
The property also features environmental initiatives such as the Earth Lab and the Junior Mangrove Ecologist programme, providing guests with opportunities to learn about the area’s ecosystems.
Guests will also have access to Amaala’s wider attractions, including the Corallium Marine Life Institute, the Amaala Yacht Club, marine activities, desert experiences, as well as retail and dining outlets.
Designed with references to traditional Saudi coastal architecture, the resort integrates with its natural surroundings of beaches, mangroves, and mountains.
Six Senses Amaala is the second resort to open at the destination. RSG plans to open six additional resorts during the year as development of Amaala continues.
Once complete, Amaala Triple Bay will include more than 1,600 hotel rooms across nine resorts, together with branded residences, wellness facilities, marinas, retail, and dining offerings.
