Etihad Park on Yas Island hosted the return of Steve Harvey’s Open Fire Food Festival over the weekend. Organised by Steve Harvey Global, in collaboration with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) and Miral, the festival took place on November 8 and 9, bringing together international barbecue specialists, live entertainment and family-friendly activities.
The event featured four noted pitmasters from the global barbecue community: Myron Mixon, Tuffy Stone, David Olson, and Lee Ann Whippen. Across the two-day programme, visitors experienced live cooking sessions, demonstrations, tasting opportunities and workshops that highlighted techniques behind open-fire cooking.
Alongside the culinary line-up, the festival included live music performances and a dedicated family zone, which provided activities for younger visitors. A VIP lounge area offered a more private setting for guests looking to unwind between sessions.
Set in a casual outdoor environment, the Open Fire Food Festival brought together barbecue enthusiasts and families, offering a weekend of food, learning and relaxed community atmosphere at Etihad Park.
