American comedian and actress Whitney Cummings has been added to the line-up for the Abu Dhabi Comedy Season 2026-27, expanding the season’s roster of international comedy talent.
Cummings will perform at Etihad Arena on Yas Island on January 31, 2027, marking her first performance in Abu Dhabi. The date will also feature British comedian Paul Smith, who is scheduled to perform at the venue on the same evening.
Known for her observational humour and candid commentary on relationships, gender and modern life, Cummings has more than two decades of experience in stand-up. She has released six stand-up specials and is also known for co-creating and co-writing the sitcom 2 Broke Girls. She created, produced and starred in the NBC sitcom Whitney.
Tickets for Cummings’ Abu Dhabi show will go on sale on September 4, 2026, at 12pm.
The Abu Dhabi Comedy Season, organised by Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi), brings together international and regional comedians across a programme of live performances at venues including Etihad Arena.
